Dr. Vinod Shah was the speaker on Cities for all – Age Friendly City in the Expert Group Meeting on Cities for All : Ageing & Inclusiveness at UN Habitat-Spain on 24th November 2020 organised by United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the Basque Country Government. He also participated in it on 23rd November 2020. - more

Janaseva Foundation has been engaged in establishing and operating Senior citizen Homes, Rural Hospital, Destitute Rehabilitation centre and a host of other charitable activities in and around Pune since the last 33 years. As a part of one of our activities we have been celebrating International Day of Older Persons for last two decades. Nearly 3000 Sr. Citizens have been attending this program every year.
This year due to COVID-19 pandemic & Govt restrictions, we have planned to celebrate it virtually on 8 days i.e. 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 13th Oct 2020 from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.. Central and State Ministers and Secretaries. representatives of WHO and International Federation on Ageing, Canada and many senior citizens organisations will be participating in this nationwide virtual programme. More than 1000 senior citizens will participate in it.

Sahil Dadu Bhalerao a boy from backward class from rural village having no parents, found on the road was admitted in our Destitute Rehabilitation Centre, Katraj, at the age of 9. Since then he stayed here and continued his school education. This year he passed his SSC Examination from Pune Divisional Board with 96 percent marks and stood first in the school.
